Rocks Your Socks Off: Two Billion Years of New York State Earth History with Victor Capelli

From the oldest rocks of the Catskill Mountains to the origins of the Taconics, Hudson Highlands and Manhattan, this program includes an exciting hands-on demonstration, display and brief slide show about the geological and fossil history of N.Y. Samples of rocks, minerals and fossils, including ancient beach ripple stone and fossil trees from the Catskill Sea will be on display. Attendees are urged to bring their rocks, minerals or fossils for identification.
