People “flock” from all over the country and as far away as Australia and Europe to attend the annual New York State Sheep and Wool Festival held in October at the bucolic Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Attendees include knitters, crocheters, hand spinners and growers of natural-fiber-producing livestock. Although you will find many people who have no interest in the wool and fiber industry who come to the one of the Northeast’s truly unique events. Over 300 wool & fiber arts and vendors of materials and tools associated with all things wool make up the show.
