In celebration of the yearly anticipated Pride, Headstone is electrified to announce the solo exhibition, Love Letters, by Joe Sinness. Sinness mounts fourteen, immaculately crafted, colored pencil drawings on paper, a few repurposed - bedazzled stitcheries, and garland that drapes throughout the space made of chewing gum wrappers. Sinness unabashedly wallows in gay nostalgia of the 1970s and 80s, exuding cheeky contradictions of gleeful pleasure and sorrowfully, saturated reminders of the AIDS crisis. Love Letters delivers oozy sentimentality with queer futurism empowerment that is simply fabulous.
