RE-SCRIPTING

SEPTEMBER is pleased to present RE-SCRIPTING as part of our SEPTEMBER SOMETIMES exhibition series and in conjunction with the inaugural Rough Notes Literary Festival founded and organized by Kinderhook Books. Opening on Saturday, August 29, 5-7pm, the exhibition will feature works by Mara Baldwin, Jane Bustin, Nicole Cherubini, Taylor Davis, Shanekia McIntosh, and Cauleen Smith. Through various forms including collage, painting, sculpture, and vinyl, the works in this show incorporate written language—including references to literature, poetry, and film—to highlight systemic inequities and offer new ways of thinking about histories and social structures.
