Hidden Heroes: Extraordinary Stories of Courage from 9/11

To commemorate the anniversary of this tragic event, the FASNY Museum of Firefighting’s Assistant Curator, Lauryn Czyzewski, will share a presentation titled Hidden Heroes: Extraordinary Stories of Courage from 9/11. The heroism of FDNY firefighters on 9/11 has been greatly highlighted over the years, and rightfully so. In the shadows, however, there exists other 9/11 hero stories that are sometimes overlooked. This presentation details many of these stories, including the story of a New York State volunteer firefighter known as The Man in the Red Bandanna.
