Syrian archaeologist Salam Al Kuntar will give a lecture on the destruction of heritage and its impact on the cultural identity of Syrians and Iraqis. Al Kuntar is currently a visiting scholar and research fellow at the Penn Museum of the University of Pennsylvania. The lecture is part of ongoing efforts at Vassar to spur education around the worldwide refugee crisis. This event is sponsored by Office of the President and Refugee Solidarity.
