The coptic binding is as old as the hills, used by the Copts, an early Christian sect in Egypt, and is a lovely exposed-spine binding that opens flat--making a great sketchbook or journal in which to work. We'll use the paste papers we made in the Thursday eve workshop, and you'll leave with a finished book, and the knowledge to make more in the future!
