Spring is officially here, and to usher in the warmer weather for a bountiful growing season, Twin Star Orchards is making an offering in the form of a six-hour-slow-roasted pig to be served on sweet Hawaiian buns with homemade coleslaw for its patrons, friends and family. To kick off their season opening on Saturday, they have a chock-full itinerary, including live music from Jack Spann, who has worked with famous musicians like David Bowie and has been featured on Broadway with Hank William's "Lost Highway" and "War Horse." Twin Star Orchard-owner Peter Yi has also invited Upstate Pups to host a foster adoption on site, as well as pop-ups from Farmer's Dog Bakery and Lili & Astara to make sure that the puppies in attendance can join in on the feast, too. With pulled pork, wood-fired pizza and burgers, facility and farm tours, and—of course — Brooklyn Cider House ciders, this is bound to be their most extravagant season kick-off yet.
