Time Out of Joint: Photography by Caleb Beecher, Ross Goldstein, and Hugh Hopkins

Opening Reception: 6-8pm Friday, October 8 // “Time is Out of Joint” brings together three photographers with connections to the Hudson Valley and Catskill. Their work activates the edges of what photography can be, moving from the what to how, and from why to where in that the surroundings and environment call the photographer to replicate its image. Photography language often uses predatory words such as shoot, take, and capture but different words would be better suited for the methods and artistic practice displayed in this show. Their cameras and development processes seem to cultivate and watch with sensitivity.
