The Longest Day is an annual gathering of artists that coincides with the Summer Solstice. Weighted towards medium/large scale outdoor sculpture the event also includes 2D artworks, performance art, and music. The event functions as both a short intensive residency for the artists involved and open studio for organizer Alexander Lyle. For 2026 The Longest Day will include visual art by Angrette McCLoskey, Charles Jarboe, Christopher Fanjul, Neil Enggist, and Alexander Lyle. Music (5pm Saturday) will include Cellist/vocalist Isabel Castellvi, Violinist/Vocalist Skye Soto Steele, Pianist/Percussionist Mitch Van Dusen, and a special presentation by Author Vocalist and Rumi Lumiminary Haleh Liza
