The History of Cragsmoor's Cliff House, Built by Austa Densmore Sturdevant

Cragsmoor Historical Society
The Cliff House in Cragsmoor is the former home of Austa Densmore Sturdevant, artist and proprietor of the Historic Cragsmoor Inn. Frederick Solomon, the owner of the Cliff House, will talk about the history of this iconic house on the hillside. Cragsmoor is one of the first artist colonies in New York State, and the Cragsmoor Inn, unfortunately no longer here, was the epicenter of glamour and sophistication, hosting many artists and famous guests. This is a free event; donations are gratefully accepted. Refreshments will be served after the talk.
