This exhibit explores the ways in which gender inequality has been shaped by historical, cultural, political, and religious systems, and how these structures continue to influence women's lives today. From the roots of patriarchy and the war system to gender based violence, domestic abuse, the limiting of women's rights, and the experiences of women during conflict, this exhibition examines the many forms violence can take, alongside examples of women leading peace movements and social change.
