By his own accounting, Donnell Joseph has spent more years of his life in prison than out. But he is one of the few prisoners who, upon his release and against all odds, has “made it” on the outside and permanently turned his life around. Donnell Joseph will read from and sign copies of his new memoir, Under the Walnut Tree. He will also speak on contemporary topics described in the book, such as prison conditions, solitary confinement, institutional racism, and cultural violence.
