Soil Fest teaches children about the importance of something we all take for granted: dirt.
White Feather Farm’s Soil Fest teaches the importance of healthy soil by getting guests’ hands dirty with free workshops, activities, and demonstrations. The all-ages festival emphasizes the role that soil plays in a healthy environment. Highlights include a farm stand, a “soil safari” in which kids dig through dirt to learn about the creatures beneath, and a workshop that teaches participants how to turn backyard brush into biochar.
