Nubian artist Fathi Hassan transforms Arabic script into illegible text to illustrate the uncertainty of migration and displacement. Drawing on the loss of his homeland in southern Egypt, his recent works explore the idea of Nubia, Egypt, and the Middle East as mythical and nostalgic spaces.
