Secrets of Light In The Universe with NPR's Bob Berman

It has been said that light has no color or brightness, and that it is the human brain that interprets the differences in light's wavelengths as "colors," as hard as that is to believe. Bob Berman, host of NPR's "Strange Universe," is among the first lecturers to present at the Rosendale Theater's newest talk series "Today I Learned," where he will be conducting scientific demonstrations to help us understand the realm of sight and color, the nature of light, and the latest discoveries about the Sun's energy. Berman, who taught astrophysics at Marymount College throughout the 1990s, has been a guest on national TV programs such as The Today Show and Late Night with David Letterman to talk about his books, as he is one of the most widely read astronomers in the world. He's authored over 1,000 articles, with bylines in renowned scientific publications such as Discover and Astronomy magazine.
