Sam Gassman: The Remains of the Gay
On June 25, Ornamentum Gallery will open their latest solo exhibition of new work by artist Sam Gassman. Gassman is known for his sculptures and assemblage works centered on nostalgia, material culture, and queer influences from American history. Created from fabric, metal, rare jewelry, and an array of fascinating found objects, his meticulously handcrafted works examine the intrinsic value of everyday ephemera, and challenge prejudice through high and low, passé and extolled.
