A revered singer-songwriter and longtime frontman of Old 97’s, Rhett has spent more than three decades shaping the landscape of American rock and alt-country. Alongside his work with the band, he has released an extensive solo catalog marked by wit, emotional honesty, and masterful songwriting.
His latest solo album, A lifetime of riding by night, represents some of his most unguarded work to date. Recorded just days before undergoing vocal cord surgery, the album is a meditation on surrender, and mortality.
