Our artist and community member, Reginald Madison, has recently passed. Reggie was a fixture in Hudson, NY for decades. He was very special to many people and will be missed dearly. On July 11th, we are opening New Slant Old Story, an exhibition of his mostly never before seen paintings, featuring figurative works and scenes from his childhood experiences attending Catholic School in Chicago. The following week, Hudson Hall will host Caravan, a solo show of his work curated by September, opening July 18th, that reference his love of Jazz. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday July 17, the day before the opening. We are also publishing his monograph, which will be released in the Fall during our presentation of his work with Uffner Liu Gallery at Independent 20th Century.
