Pianist Gilles Vonsattel, Benjamin, Webern, Brahms & Schumann

Award-winning pianist Gilles Vonsattel will be playing George Benjamin’s Shadowlines– Six Canonic Preludes; Anton Webern’s ground-breaking piano solo, Variations Op. 27; Johannes Brahms’ poetic Klavierstücke Op. 119; and Robert Schumann’s sonata, Fantasie in C Major, Op. 17, one of his greatest works for piano solo. Note that Liszt was one of the few pianists capable of meeting the demands of this piece at the time, so we should be in for a thrilling performance.
