Towering at over 25 feet tall, the glowing script spells out the phrase “BIG EMOTIONS,” originally written nearly to scale in the artist’s own handwriting. The work was inspired by deVries’ deep emotional intuition as an empath, her Buddhist leanings, parenting a young child with intense emotions, and her evolving relationship with her own emotional life.
