Older then Ireland

This documentary was made in Ireland in 2015 by Alex Fegan who interviewed several people who had reached or surpassed 100 years of life. The participants talk about what they have seen, and learned, about life in that great period of time. These men and women are, indeed, older than Ireland, for when, in 1923, the Irish won the War of Independence from England, a new nation was born, and renamed “Ireland.” The years since have brought great social and economic change. Once almost exclusively an agricultural society, Ireland has become a major global financial center, and in 2019 is now the fifth wealthiest nation in the world.
