Join us for an outdoor, hands-on class led by artist and organic watercolor paint maker, Laura Leigh. Bringing a colorful collection of sedimentary rock and clay from the surrounding areas, Laura will share her knowledge about basic geology, the history of pigments, and how to safely pound, mix, and mold rock dust and other pigments into handmade paint. Students will get hands-on time making their own paint, then settle in for a guided free paint session. All supplies will be provided. No prior experience in art or painting, adults and teens 13+. Brunch beverages and snacks will be provided.
