Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Mark Bolan & T. Rex is a 2025 documentary by director Ethan Silverman that examines the man and the groundbreaking music that still sounds fresh and transgressive. The film features archival performances by Bolan and T. Rex, interviews with Elton John, Ringo Starr, and David Bowie, plus filmed musical interpretations by Nick Cave, John Cameron Mitchell, Joan Jett, Macy Gray, U2, and Father John Misty.
The screening will be introduced by Eve Papp, a trans activist and founder of the New Paltz Pride Coalition, producing the annual New Paltz Pride March & Festival in June.
