Are you looking for a fun and healthy way to get your family outside, in winter, on snowy days? Then come join Minnewaska State Park Preserve Educators and test drive a pair of snowshoes. This education program offers your children the opportunity to try out snowshoes, learn how to use the bindings, and walk comfortably in them. After we get used to wearing the snowshoes, we’ll take a nature observation walk along the Rail Trail behind the Library (weather permitting). Snowshoes are available to borrow for children up to 125 pounds. Parents will need to supply their own snowshoes or just walk along with us. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring snacks and water. All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at least 18 years of age. Pre-register by Feb. 14.
