La Guelaguetza Oaxacan Cultural Fest will be held at Waryas Park on August 3.
La Guelaguetza is an annual festival held at Waryas Park in Poughkeepsie that celebrates Oaxacan culture, in all of its colors, dances, and traditions. Musicians and dancers from all over the country gather for La Guelaguetza, a Zapotec word that loosely translates to "the exchange of gifts." Traditional Oaxacan food, crafts, performances, and unabashed pride are guaranteed.
