Hybridizing Print and Clay: Trading Stories Through Tile Making

Join us in this 4 week workshop where you will learn to build a set of your own hand made tiles that can adorn your home or garden! In this class Dilara will guide students on slab building their tiles and preparing their surface to transfer a repetitive or large scale image over multiple tiles. Students will learn how to utilize printmaking methods on a clay surface through sgraffito and intaglio techniques to create a unique array of tiles that can be puzzled together.
