Throughout her career, Skrzynski’s art delves into the intertwined relationship between humans and nature, using the structural similarities between anatomy and botany to depict the ephemeral qualities of life. Her recent paintings depict common plants in uncommon ways. Observing growth, decay, and rebirth, the woods near her home provide inspiration and a sense of connection to a larger natural system.
