Western Mass indie rock band Cloudbelly is fronted by singer/songwriter Corey Laitman, who made her name on the New York anti-folk scene. With that background, it's easy to see where her current project gets its strong acoustic-centered, melodic, harmony-rich elements; the quartet's lush, electro-psych, dream-pop side is more reminiscent of Deerhunter, Galaxie 500, or the Cocteau Twins. Their full-length album, i know i know i know , was named by the Boston Globe as one of the best records of 2024.
