Beacon Rising Choir Concert

brc-11.webp
In 2017, The Beacon Rising Choir was founded as one of the many resistance choirs that grew out of the Women's March. Open to women and non-binary people, the choir performs mostly contemporary repertoire by female, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC composers and arrangers who highlight social and environmental justice, community unification, and the freedom of self-expression For their spring recital, they will be performing at Beacon High School with a full set list of radical, inspirational, and timely pieces to combat the current display of social injustice. Local organizations like Fearless Hudson Valley, I Am Beacon, Soon is Now, Beacon Sloop Club, Dutchess Pride Center, and Astor Head Start will have tables before the show at 1pm with information about how to get involved and support these grassroots non-profits.
