In January, BAU Gallery is pleased to present Crazy, a show curated by guest Jaime Ransome. She states “The goal of feminist art is to create a dialogue surrounding issues that were brought to light by feminist theory of the 1970s, such as women’s representation in the art world, women’s sexuality and eroticism, matriarchy, criticism of male violence and patriarchal values, and challenging historical portrayals of women in art.…However… we may [now] want to give extra consideration to what we label feminist art.” Opening reception: Saturday January 10, 6pm. On view Saturdays and Sundays 12-6pm through February 8.
