An Audio/Visual Collaboration: Steven Takasugi and Jebah Baum

When they met at the Virginia Center for Creative arts in 2020, composer Steven Takasugi and visual artist Jebah Baum began a rich cross disciplinary collaboration that has resulted in several dynamic exhibitions of their work together. This will be their third presentation at BAU Gallery. It includes an idiosyncratic grouping of crushed music stands that are instantly recognizable, although they no longer serve their intended purpose. These, now sculptural objects will also serve as percussion instruments in the premier of a new Takasugi composition in Melbourne, Australia in 2025.
