25th Annual Sharon Summer Book Signing

Guests came out in droves to celebrate the return of the Sharon Summer Book Signing in 2022. The lawn of the Sharon Historical Society proved to be the ideal temporary location, while the Hotchkiss Library, right next door, undergoes restoration and expansion. The elegant white tent, decorated with gorgeous plants and flowers, greeted our 30 authors and illustrators. Books were signed and sold; tasty hors devours were served by local eighth-grade volunteers and enjoyed by all. Our excellent volunteer bartenders served refreshing beverages. Guest enjoyed talking to authors and reuniting with old friends. Bestselling authors and debut ones, nationally-known and local, all loved meeting their colleagues, fans, and readers. We had record attendance and terrific volunteer support from 25 devoted library friends. Together with the hardworking staff, they made the event a terrific success. All the proceeds from this, our largest annual fundraiser, support our daily operations, from staffing to new book purchases, from children’s programming to Zoom events for adults. Thanks to everyone who was there – guests, volunteers, authors, illustrators, and staff. Looking forward to seeing you this year, on Friday, August 4, 2023.
