Jim Taihuttu (screenwriter & director) made his debut in 2011 with the acclaimed film Rabat, followed two years later by the gritty crime drama Wolf, which won three Dutch Academy Awards and the Youth Award at San Sebastian Film Festival. He then wrote and directed De Oost, the first feature film about the Indonesian War of Independence. Additionally, since 2010, he has been part of the internationally successful DJ act Yellow Claw and is one of the co-founders of the New Ams Film Company.
