Will Ferrell was filming a movie when his dear friend of nearly 30 years came out to him as a trans woman. That friend was Harper Steele whom he met on his firs day at Saturday Night Live in 1995. That friendship and creative partnership continued to grow over the next 3 decades. In this movie, Will and Harper hit the road to drive from New York to LA they visit location that are meaningful to them. Through laughter and tears, they push past their comfort zones as they re-examine their relationships to these spaces, and to each other.
