When people in a small seaside town in 1920s England begin to receive wicked, anonymous letters full of hilarious profanities, rowdy Irish migrant Rose is charged with the crime. Suspecting that something is not quite right, the town's women begin to investigate the crime themselves. They soon discover that the wild Irish Rose may not be the culprit after all.
