This concert promises to be a magical exploration of the human voice combining raga and overtone singing.
Hindustani classical vocalists Sabina Mumtaz Islam and Sanjukta Biswas met as young scholars at the prestigious Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata, India. They are a dynamic duo flying like two wings of the same majestic bird. Timothy Hill received guidance in Hindustani classical vocal music from Sheila Dhar and Vijay Kichlu as well as overtone singning with David Hykes and Baird Hersey. They will be accompanied by Mir Naqibul Islam on tabla.
