Presented by Soon Is Now, "Tinkuy, Seven Acts for the beginning, end, and beginning of time" is a sonic journey through Earth’s evolution, and a reflection on what could be lost if we fail to change course by Koyoltzintli. Koyoltzintli’s handmade sound objects, including replicas of pre-Columbian artifacts that have not been sounded in over a millennia, will be played in a performance that unfolds across seven geological acts: The Sound of Ether, The Time of Fire, The Time of Water, The Time of Earth, The Time of the Wind/Birds, The Time of the Voice, and The Time of the Anthropocene. In the final act, participants will be invited to become active contributors—reminding us that we all play a role in today's earth unraveling. Koyoltzintli will be joined by an incredible group of artists: Bel Falleiros, Cristina Mejía Mar Parrilla, Dan Blake, Ricardo Gallo, and Theresa Bear Fox.
