The Ubiquitous Ashtray

"The Ubiquitous Ashtray," part of the IMoDD "Unforgettable Dinnerware" on-line lecture series, presented by Margaret Carney. This on-line lecture will focus on the latest curated exhibition at the International Museum of Dinnerware Design, "Ashtray," which opens on February 8. When the museum was established, it was only logical to have ashtrays in the collection of dinnerware. Margaret Carney, who grew up in a household where both parents were heavy smokers, knew the placement of ashtrays at both ends of the dining table.
