Surf-rock quartet The Surfrajettes roll into Colony in Woodstock on their 10th-anniversary “Road Dogs” tour, celebrating a decade of reverb-drenched instrumentals, vintage style, and globe-trotting gigs. Hailing from Toronto, the four-piece channels the twangy guitar lines and cinematic cool of classic surf music while adding a playful modern twist—think go-go boots, spy-movie swagger, and a dash of psychedelic shimmer.
The band first gained a devoted following online with their surf-style cover of Britney Spears’s “Toxic,” and they’ve since built a reputation for tight musicianship and irresistibly fun live shows that feel equal parts retro revival and dance-floor party. Their performances lean into the genre’s timeless appeal: bright melodies, propulsive rhythms, and plenty of Fender-amp shimmer. Opening the evening is Bethlehem Shalom, whose soulful, space-tinged pop offers a stylish counterpoint to the Surfrajettes’ high-gloss twang.
