The hoot is a down-home all-ages community music festival where there’s lots of fresh air, great music, local food, beer, cider, and joy to spare.
In the interest of rolling with the punches and taking a shot at streamlining our event we are introducing one particular innovation this year that we're very excited about: this year's hoot will feature 25 BANDS AND ONE MICROPHONE. That's right! Think Newport Folk Festival of the 1960s. All three days our amazing artists will perform unplugged, completely acoustically, "bluegrass style," amplified elegantly and pristinely by a beautiful, single stereo microphone.
