The Shape of Kinship brings together the work of Scottish glass artist Eric Hilton and his daughter, painter Erin Schantz-Hilton, at Childs and Clark Gallery in Great Barrington. Their work could hardly appear more different. Hilton works with glass, light, illusion, mathematics, and the physical transformation of a material through heat and precision. Schantz-Hilton paints wild animals, creating large, richly textured works in which animal, habitat, and spirit become intertwined.
Now showing through Saturday, October 3rd.
