Twenty-five professional artists painted on historic Bannerman’s Island on June 1st. Detailed views of Bannerman Castle, the original Bannerman residence, the island’s gardens and picturesque towers in the water were focal points for the artists – which include many of the Hudson Valley’s most popular Plein-Air (landscape) painters. Visitors to the gallery can expect to see many different styles of painting the landscape (traditional to abstract) represented in oil, acrylic, pastel and watercolor – each work truly unique and original.
