William Seaton will speak on the uses of the idea of the primitive in modern art and poetry. The talk will be presented in the studio of Surrealist Kurt Seligmann who, like many of his circle, was fascinated by primitive art and purchased a Northwest Coast totem pole as well as other works during his travels.
