Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra will open its 17 th
season with concert, “Tchaikovsky in Ukraine” on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at
3:00 pm at the Marriott Pavilion at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park,
NY.
The concert will feature Tchaikovsky’s Symphony #2 which was inspired by
Ukrainian folk music and the Ukrainian National Anthem. Local 18-year-old cellist
Andrew Chun will be the guest soloist for Schumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor.
The concert will open with an audience favorite The Hebrides (Fingal’s Cave) by Mendelssohn.
