SXSW Winner GG Hawkins Brings Independent Film Masterclass to Beacon

The Beacon Film Society presents a special screening of the award-winning feature I Really Love My Husband on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Howland Cultural Center. The event features an in-person Q&A with director GG Hawkins, host of the No Film School podcast, moderated by local filmmaker Rachel Handler. The film premiered at SXSW 2025 and won a "First-Time Director Award" at the Chattanooga Film Festival. Following the film Hawkins will take part in a Q and A. It's a great opportunity to learn about the realities of independent filmmaking. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
