Susan Carr writes: "Painting never lies. It simply tells the truth in ways that are magical, mysterious and baffling. Painting is healing, rewarding, hopeful and necessary, especially now. In my work, I strive to tell the truth as I know it. I seek liminality, the shadow play of color, beauty, bright spaces, and I always honor the process no matter where it goes. I hope to add love and joy into the world, as both are desperately needed."
