A dark "comedy of madness" about Antonin Artaud, the creator of Theatre of Cruelty. The play follows Artaud in a sanitarium and is based on his theatrical theory and his life. We meet Artaud and his Double—his complete opposite. Artaud tasks his Double with presenting as himself so he can take time away from being a person to write. Artaud and his Double each find a sense of self throughout the play. Tickets available online or at box office Monday-Friday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and one hour prior to showtime. Talkbacks to follow 2 p.m. performances on Oct. 5 and 18.
