Southern Voices: New Music by Neal Todten and Buck McDaniel

On Saturday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m., composers Neal Todten and Buck McDaniel present an evening of new music at Monument hv in Kingston, NY. Todten, a New Orleans-based composer, performs his organ score for House of Direction, a hypnotic, minimalist work recently featured at Big Ears Festival. McDaniel, originally from Mississippi and now based in New York, offers compositions that fuse Southern fiddle traditions with the layered textures of American Minimalism.
