Join artists Bruce Odland and Soli Pierce with Janet Langsam for an artist talk and deep listening experience. "Sound Forest / Memory Cave" is an immersive installation, transforming the Janet Langsam Vault into a dream-like environment. Soundscapes, sculpture, and tactile surfaces combine to evoke deep memories, respect, wonder, and connection with the natural world. Portals of wood and light combine with a canopy of leaf speakers; vibrations from tree subwoofers speak in the language of wind and water. This piece is a celebration of deep listening, and a call to action to honor and protect our disappearing natural world.
